Mr. Mike Allard
Principal, Grades 6-8 Teacher, Athletic Director, Technology Director
Mike was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. He attended high school at Luther Prep in Watertown, WI, and college at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. He graduated Martin Luther College in 2012 with a degree in K-12 Physical Education and a degree in K-8 Elementary Education. After graduation Mike married his beautiful bride Megan and they began their married life in the city of Santiago in the Dominican Republic. After one year there Mike received a call to be principal, athletic director and 6-8 teacher here at St. John's. Mike and Megan have two sons named Ezra and Micah and two daughters named Addie and Jordyn. Mike earned his Master's Degree from Martin Luther College in Educational Leadership in 2021. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and golf and loves watching the Bucks, Brewers, Badgers and Packers.

Mrs. Ashley Leiterman
Grades 4-5 Teacher, Music Director
Mrs. Leiterman grew up in Bangor, WI. She attended Luther High School in Onalaska and went on to study Education at Martin Luther College. She graduated in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Music and was called to serve here at St. John's. In June 2020, she married her husband, Brandon Leiterman. Ashley and Brandon have a daughter, Hannah. In her free time, she likes to read, play board games, go on walks, and enjoy music.

Mr. Brandon Leiterman
Grades 2-3 Teacher, Band Director
Mr. Brandon Leiterman grew up in Morrison, WI. He attended Denmark High School and then continued his studies at Martin Luther College. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2020 with a degree in K-8 Elementary Education. After graduation, Brandon married Ashley Urbanek. Brandon and Ashley have a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Matthias. He is currently working towards his Master's in Principal training. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, golfing, football, playing music, and watching the Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, and Packers.

Mrs. Jenny Shadrick
Grades K-1 Teacher
Mrs. Shadrick received her degree in elementary education at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2005. She was called to teach kindergarten for one year at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Wisconsin Rapids. She was then called to teach preschool here at St. John's. She also taught kindergarten, and in March, 2015 was called to teach grades K-2. She has lived in Neillsville her whole life and was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church. She was also married here at St. John's and now lives in the Loyal area with her husband Shawn and their daughters Natasha and Danica and son Dane. She is a 1997 graduate of St. John's. As the Kindergarten-Grade 1 teacher, she will train your child in God's Word and give them a well-rounded curriculum, attempting to meet each child's needs. She will treat your child fairly and show them love and support.

Mrs. Megan Allard
Preschool Director and Teacher
Megan Allard, originally from Grand Rapids, MI, graduated from Martin Luther College in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching one year in Brillion, Wi, Megan married her husband, Mike, and moved to the Dominican Republic where they both taught at a bilingual school in the city of Santiago for the year. Mike and Megan moved to Neillsville in the summer of 2013 to join the St. John's family. Megan began teaching preschool at St. John's in 2015 and teaches grades 6-8 as the administrative release teacher. Mike and Megan have two sons, Ezra and Micah, and two daughters, Addie and Jordyn.

Mrs. Sternitzky has been working with children since she was in high school. She has been a member of St. John's since 1996. She loves music and has been teaching piano lessons for many years.

Pastor Walsh
Pastor Tim Walsh grew up in Clearwater, Florida. His family moved to Wisconsin during his high school years, and he graduated from Luther High in Onalaska. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2016, and from there, went to teach English at Colegio B. Group in Callao (Lima), Peru. After returning to the US, Tim taught Spanish at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee and began studying at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.
Ruth Walsh (née Wendland) grew up in Malawi (Africa) in a missionary family. She attended Luther Prep, and graduated from Martin Luther College in 2015. She taught in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Hustisford, Wisconsin.
Tim and Ruth married in July 2017. They have three children: Eliana (born in Wisconsin, September 2018), Henry (born in Virginia, April 2020), and Levi (born in New York, April 2024).
Pastor Walsh’s favorite aspect of ministry is teaching. He is excited to work with the faculty and students of St. John’s School. Personally, he enjoys board and card games, cooking, and exploring his community.
While Pastor Walsh loves the whole Bible (of course!), he is particularly fond of Jesus’ parables (as any teacher ought to be), and of the Psalms. Psalm 3 is a particular favorite:
“But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.”

Mrs. Judy Trunkel
Church, School & ELC Secretary, Organist
Mrs. Trunkel has been the church and school secretary since 1995. She has been a member of St. John's most of her life, and is a 1980 graduate of St. John's School. She is also one of our organists, and has been playing since she was 10 years old. Music is near and dear to her heart. She loves working in the church and school setting and considers the members of St. John's to be her extended family. Other than music, her hobbies are reading and gardening.
