What we Believe
What We Believe is one way the members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod have chosen to confess their faith in Christ. It publicly summarizes the main teachings of our church body.

We, the men, women, and children of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, exist to learn, proclaim, and share God's Word in all its truth and purity.

Objectives of St. John's

To uphold and testify to the inspired Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions drawn from the Holy Scriptures.  read 2 Timothy 3:15; John 8:31; John 10:35; John 17:17

To help each other grow and mature in the faith through public worship and lifelong study of God's Word.  read Ephesians 4:12,13; Colossians 3:16

To reach out into the community and beyond with the Gospel of Christ.  read Mark 16:15

To encourage members to joyfully demonstrate their love for the Savior by giving proportionately of their time, talents, and treasures.  read Ephesians 2:10; Hebrews 10:23 


We, the men, women, and children of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, rooted in the inspired Word of God, have as our vision to:

GROW IN THE UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.

Recommended Scripture Readings:  2 Peter3:18; 1 Peter 2:2; Romans 10:17

BUILD SPIRITUALLY STRONG FAMILIES.

Recommended Scripture Readings:  Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:4; Mark 10:14; 2 Timothy 3:15

ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER WITH THE WORD AND SACRAMENTS.

Recommended Scripture Readings:  1 Thessalonians 5:11; Jude 1:20

PREPARE FOR WORKS OF SERVICE FOR THE LORD AND OTHERS.

Recommended Scripture Readings:  Titus 2:14; 2 Corinthians 9:8; Philippians 2:13; Ephesians 2:10

GO AND SHARE THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION.
